When Pact approached us about creating a thoughtful gifting campaign to support the launch of their Next-to-Skin collection, we were thrilled. A woman-owned brand that believes in making things well and with intention? Say less.
At Bound, we treat these kinds of opportunities as a chance for a brand to shake their marketing awake, even just for a moment.

So we built this box the same way Pact builds their products: slowly, thoughtfully, with intention.
First, we designed and manufactured an organic cotton drawer organizer, so the packaging could live on in someone’s top drawer—gently reminding them of the ritual of getting dressed that Pact honors so beautifully in this collection.
Next, our very own Lo Nuhn hand-stitched each sachet, made from the most delicious organic striped cotton fabric to tuck inside the organizers.

Inside each sachet was a custom blend from Rebecca’s Herbal Apothecary, a fellow female-owned Boulder business right next door to Pact. Hand-blended in small batches using chamomile, lavender, rose, sandalwood, and vetiver—designed to feel soft, grounding, and meant to make the whole unboxing feel like a little exhale.
And because we simply can’t help ourselves—and have a deep obsession with pens—we hand-wrote and signed every seeding card, as well. A small detail, but the kind that reminds someone a real human packed their box.
The first creator to receive hers posted, “This is maybe the most intentional PR package I’ve ever received.” Another said, “As someone who used to be on the other side of these boxes, I know how hard this work is.”

Now, let’s pause for one small piece of marketing wisdom: when you’re designing a gifting campaign, the accoutrements should never outshine the product itself.
For the purpose of this post, we’re bragging on the details. But if you’re taking notes for your next gifting campaign, please know that the hero is always the product. Capisce?
The add-ons’ job is to set the mood, not steal the spotlight.
So yes, the hand-sewn sachets smell incredible. And the creamy striped cotton is very cute. But they know their place.
The Next-to-Skin collection is the hero.
